My gf drives a 2013 Honda Civic LX sedan. While boring, she gets +5 oppopoints for it being brown like the one above. She just texted me that she needs new wiper blades. I being a self-respecting car guy said of course I can help her get wiper blades. But there's a problem.
I'm finding conflicting information online about what exact size of wiper blade her car takes, and she's visiting her family 80 miles from here so I can't just take a tape measure to her wipers to find out. She's coming back on Friday night. I've checked O'Reilly, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, Amazon, and RockAuto. They all agree the passenger side wiper is 22", but they list either 24", 26" or 28" for the driver's side.
The driver's side wiper obviously can't be all three of those sizes. Does anyone here have a 2012 or newer Civic sedan who can tell me conclusively what size wiper it needs on the driver's side?
UPDATE: After a few useful suggestions that both pointed out the correct sizes, and reminded me that her car has funky wiper blades that take replacement inserts, I called the Honda dealer where she got her car. It's $15 for replacement inserts and they'll put them on for free. So...she's going to the dealer when she gets back in town. Thanks y'all!

I don't know about the size, but I can tell you about the deal I got at advance auto last night - 10 bucks off 2 bosch icons.

Split the difference? Sorry, I can't really help with this one.

22" and 26"
28" is for the coupe, which also takes a 24" passenger side blade.
Honda sells the rubber inserts pretty cheap if the blades are original, otherwise make sure you get the exact fit ones, Honda has goofy fitments.

2013 LX Sedan owner here!
22 and 26.
The 28 is for the coupe and the 24 is a typo.

That they do. I had to replace the fitments on the wipers I bought for my Accord.
Jebus Honda, why can't you guys be normal with this one thing?

Can't help you with sizes. But I just bought a set of Bosch ICON Wiper Blades for my Caddy and holy hell are they amazing! totally worth the 50 bucks they cost (total not each)

DUDE! I just bought those too! holy hell are they amazing! it's like, I dunno how to explain these. It's like every time I use them, I can see the world a littler bit clearer. they leave the window so crisp and clean. no streaks, no nothing.

Great, thanks. Now that you mention those inserts, I do remember her wiper blades looking kinda funky. While I'm usually a fan of beam-style replacement blades, I think in her case the OEM inserts might be the move.

I've used various other beam-style blades like the Icons on many vehicles over the years. Usually something cheaper than Bosch. They've given good results.
In her case though, Takuro pointed out the Civic has these funky wiper blades that take replacement inserts, so I'm thinking I'll just grab the inserts from the Honda dealer.

Call Honda....matter of fact, don't replace the whole blade. Get just the inserts from the dealer. You'd be surprised how cheap they are.
Go the extra mile and spray down her windshield with Stoner Invisible Glass (AutoZone and advanced auto, etc carry the stuff)

Yeah, Takuro reminded me she's got these funky wiper blades that take inserts. I'll probably pick those up. Dunno about the Invisible Glass though...usually I just keep her washer fluid topped up with the orange Rain-X all-season stuff and that works well for keeping water beading up on the windshield.

That's a good way to do it with the fluid from Rain-X.
Best solution is to apply every 6 months this stuff called Aquapel

I will second that. My girlfriend still has her Bosch Icons on her car that I bought her two years ago.

I'm having a hell of a time with the blades on my 2003 Odyssey. The ones I bought to replace the old ones were terrible, so I bought more. Out of the box, they sucked too. So I think I'll have to punt and take it to the dealer. The arms, which are not adjustable, may have to be replaced.

Might be you've got some kind of built-up gunk on the windshield that's preventing the wipers from getting a clean swipe action. Which could possibly be fixed by taking a clay bar to the windshield. Or if you want to get really overkill, get a Nanoskin AutoScrub wash mitt for 50 friggin bucks instead of a clay bar.

I've thought about that, especially since both sets of new wipers behaved in exactly the same way. I just haven't gotten around to it yet, and frankly, it rains so seldom here in Austin that it really hasn't been much of an issue. But I do need to get after it.

HOnda is weird my Fit takes replacements but the one time i couldn't get them, I said F it and went to the parts store and got replacement wipers like a regular car.
If you look at an 07-08 Fit, you'll notice on the passenger side of the windshield there's a small cut out in the trim for the wiper to go into. Since the wipers are bigger than the windshield could allow

Clayed my windows before applying rain x, just claying it alone led to really nice clarity. I was surprised how much stuff the clay picked up.

Yeah I made the mistake when I bought for my car of buying the Trico Onyx
They're not bad, I don't want to say that. They just aren't Icon's and I should have just bought the Icons a few months ago for mine.
